The world is changing . New and emerging technologies through the web are connecting to our children in ways never before possible. Through blogs , social networking sites , multimedia, and other Web 2.0 tools , your world is becoming more participatory and networked . Students spend more time in virtual immersive environments that encourage creative thinking and problem solving . They often participate in games and social media which routinely acquire and apply knowledge and collaborate with friends . Do we , as educators we are following and applying this change in our process of teaching and learning ? Within these connections and networks , the complexity of learning and teaching becomes more evident , and educators need to deepen their understanding of how networks and knowledge are available , expand and grow . Educators need to develop a teaching practice more effective global and evolve . A practice that continually focuses on maximizing student learning to keep you updated with knowledge about learning . A new culture emerges with teaching professionals , who will be away from a paradigm of isolation and closed doors . Educators have always learned through networks of colleagues who get ideas and with whom they share . Often these networks are small , largely determined by the physical location . More recently , with the availability of technology to make connections and expand learning , the physical limits of the past were erased and the possibilities of connecting and learning has expanded. Are these global connections that promote the development of strategic knowledge communities online , with educators at all levels , in all disciplines , moving toward a form of acting so totally connected and collaborative . Communities form a personal learning network consisting of connections that the educator is to extend the learning environments and spaces are created and how they colleagues or mentors in a mutual learning in a system where educators participating , with people and learn share with them. With communities , educators can connect around ideas for which they are passionate . How old is the teacher of conducting classroom ?
What are your specialty areas ?
With that knowledge the teacher can contribute ?
What are the areas of interest of the teacher ?
